BATTERY POWERED! / No Phantom Power Required
Electro-Voice EV- 1751
Up for consideration is vintage Electro-Voice EV-1715
electret-condenser microphone. It is from the early 1970's. It
is a condensor that was made for situations where no Phantom
Power was readily available, and instead is powered by a single
AA battery (a new Duracell is included). It was used a lot for
FM radio work back in the day, and it can still be found in the
mic lockers of studios like A
& M Studios and Fantasy
Studios and also pro studios like Studio
in the Country.

CONDITION
This mic is in very good condition, espesially considering
that it is over 30 years old. It has very few if any scratches
on it, but it does show some signs of being in contact with foam
that has eroded. I have cleaned it up some, but with additional
cleaning this could look even cleaner. I am the original owner
and used it for a few home recordings, but it has not been used
since the mid '70s.
