Eastman guitars really were one of the first Chinese guitar companies to put out high-quality guitars, and have slowly changed our perception of what a high-quality Chinese guitars are capable of. The same guitar made by Collings and other fine USA makers is going to cost close to $20k, so here the tremendous value is that the highly-skilled Chinese luthiers can put out a very compelling guitar at a small fraction of the cost. Also, since quality of tonewoods available to the top Chinese builders is of the same quality or even better that what a smaller USA luthier can get, because they order is a much larger quantity. On top of that, buying a nice used like this one reduces the price even further, and hence you can get a great electric archtop guitar for a very modest amount of coin.

The guitar is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition, with minor buckle rash to the back and a few small imperfections on the top. The case also has some sheet-rock marks from closet storage. The guitar has no structural issues, and plays perfectly with nice, low action. It was never been gigged, only used in a non-smoking teaching studio.

In short, this guitar is a Professional-Class electric archtop concert and/or recording guitar,
and it would make
a great guitar for live gigs, as well as for studio work. It has a nice acoustic sound as well, and so is a great guitar for composing, or just one to have out in easy reach for when inspiration strikes. It has a rare combination of quality workmanship and tonewoods, with sophisticated detailing, yet is still priced low enough to be affordable for the working musician.
