Up for consideration is a vintage 1959 Stone Case Company Lifton-Style 5-latch case for the late1950s Gibson ES electric guitars.
This case was one of the OEM cases that Gibson used, along with Lifton cases, and a few others, and were used interchangeably for Gibson guitars. This particular cas was original to a 1959 Gibson ES225 guitar, and will fit the ES335 and ES330 series guitars as well. Here is a great opportunity to pick up a nice vintage 1950s case to house your vintage Gibson ES guitar!!!

CONDITION
The case is in very good condition, and if you take a look at the guitar that it accompanied, you can see the marvelous job it did of protecting the guitar for the past 64 years. The cae is fully functional, with the scratches and scuffs that can be seen in the photos. There are 2 issues that you may want to deel with: 1) the case handle is losing the cloth handle covering on one side, and 2) the latch spring mechanism is not working. The latch functions fine, but the spring action that keeps the latch up when the case is opened is not working, and you have to operate the latch manually.
ORIGINAL PARTS:
All of the parts of this case are original, and for verification purposes, the guitar was purchased at George Gruhns several years ago as an all-original 1959 Gibson ES-225 for $3,500.
In short, this is a great opportunity to get a vintage 1959 Gibson OEM case, that still offers excellent protection for your vintage instrument, increases its value, and multiplies the cool 1950s vibe when you pull out the axe!!!
