Up for consideration is a beautiful Guild / Westerly JF-55-12 NTE 12-String acoustic / electric guitar and original hardshell case. This guitar is made in 1993 at the Guild factory in Westerly, RI, and widely is considered to be one of the best 12-strings ever made. This same guitar is currently in production as the Guild F512-12, and sells new for $2,999 at the guitar stores, and so here is a rare chance to get one from the more desireable Westerly (pre-Fender) era, with a factory-installed pickup system, and save about $1,000!!!

CONDITION
The guitar is in very good condition with just a few dings and scratches from 2 decades of normal wear. The neck is very straight, and the neck is set for low action on strings 1-5, whereas the action does get a little higher around the 12th fret to allow for loud strumming without any frets buzzing. It excells in both amplified and acoustic departments, and it is a great guitar for use on an amplified stage as well as acoustic gigs, concerts and recordings. This guitar does it all.

In short, this top-of-the-line Guild 12-string guitar is a World-Class electric acoustic concert and/or recording guitar, and it would make a great guitar for live gigs, as well as for studio work. It is a beautiful instrument, very fun to play, and the wide range of acoustic sounds you can get out of it give the flexibility to play in a variety of different styles. It has a powerful voice, but when played softly it also has a very fine shimmering quality. This instrument is one of the best 12-strings you can get at any price, and surprisingly it is still very affordable when compared to the best 6-string acoustics on the market.
