Up for consideration is a mint / NOS Neumann KM100F powering module for the KM100 mics. This is a rare item as it is now discontinued by Neumann. It features a built-in 2-position high-pass filter, in addition to the -10 dB pad. These KM100F modules had a list proce of $958 and sold for $615 Street, so here is an extremely rare opportunity to pick up a NOS / unused KM100f body and save 50%!!!

CONDITION
This body amp was purchased from a studio closing sale, where the mic was never used, as they had an extensive collection of vintage Neumann tube SDCs to chose from. I have used the capsule for just 1 hour, only to make these test MP3 files below. You will need an AK active capsule to make a complete KM100 microphone system.

HIGH-PASS FILTER
This body has a 2-position High-Pass filter which is extremely useful for several reasons: 1) to attunate wind and rumble noise during outdoor use, 2) to cut ambient rumble from street noise for location recording (think busses and trucks), and 3) to compensate for proximity effect when using a AK 40 or other cardioid-type capsules for either speech or close mic'd instruments. The default roll-off is a gentle 6 dB / octave roll-off starting at 80 Hz, and the second position is 12 dB / octave starting at 120 Hz.
