This swivel mount attaches to threads at the base your mic and allows for very easy mic placement in terms of both the mic angle of inclination, and also the orientation of the mic on the stand. This is German engineering at its finest!!!

The beauty of SG 287 mount is that you can take any of your Neumann U87/67 mics and quickly mount them in the desired angle and orientation in a quick, easy process. Plus, the mount is so sturdy yet lightweight -- built with quality German engineering -- and so good that it actually makes it fun to use (unlike most spider mounts). Also, the mic looks great on the stand (see opening scene of "Love Actually.") An additional benefit it the mount is acoustically unobtrusive and will not cast any sonic shadows on the capsule -- really the best of both worlds.
