Up for consideration is a vintage 1980s Neumann U87i multi-pattern condenser microphone. These battery-powered Vintage U87i mics are highly coveted for pro studios because they sound great on everything, take EQ well, and have a polished, well-recognized "like a record" sound. You will find these mics in widespread use in all the great recording studios, like Abbey Road, where they currently have 28 of them!!! New, the current U87Ai -- Neumann's redesigned model -- sells for $3,199 street, so here is your chance to pick up a better-sounding, vintage, collectable U87i and save about $1,000 dollars!!!

CONDITION
This mic is in very good condition, with some small dings and scratches from 30 years of normal use. Click HERE for 1270 Hi-Res photos of this mic. The pad and roll-off switches function properly, but the plastic pin on the roll-off switch is missing. The mic can be powered by two Everyready 505 22.5 volt batteries, and the battery level meter works fine, the manual battery/phantom power switch works, but the auto battery-disconnect switch does not automatically disconnect battery power upon removing the mic cable, so you would have to switch power settings manually.
