This is a amazing-sounding, great-looking, and great-playing guitar that is all original (with the addition of upgraded Gotoh tuners) and still in near-mint condition. The PRS guitars are played by countless greats, such as Carlos Santana, and are currently played by many pro players, including Mike Ault [ 1 | 2 | 3 ], and is simply an amazing guitar with excellent tonal variety, endelss sustain, and "feel" that has to be heard to be believed. This guitar in the rare color of purple is no longer in production, so here is a great opportunity to get this great one-owner McCarty in near-mint condition, and save over $1,000 bucks!!!

CONDITION
The guitar is in near-mint cosmetic and playing condition, as it was purchased new/NOS in 2009, and is a 1-owner guitar. It comes with all the original paperwork and accessories in the original case. The guitar has no issues, as new. It was never gigged, only used in a non-smoking teaching studio.

guitar has great tone, sustain, and body, and also excellent tonal variety, as using the coil-tap switch on the tone control, you can get 6 different tonal configurations. Several of the clips go throu all the PU settings. The guitar is going through a Peavey Sudio Pro 112 amp, and then miked with a Shure SM57 mic upgraded with an AMI T58 transformer, and recorded using a TAB-Funkenwerk V78M tube preamp into a Sony PCM D1 flash recorder, and MP3s were made in Logic, with no EQ or effects.

In short, this guitar is a World-Class electric concert and/or recording guitar,
and it would make
a great guitar for live gigs, as well as for studio work. It is tone monster, very fun to play, and the wide range of sounds you can get out of it give the flexibility to play in a lot of different styles. The W/F neck profile is very nice and pretty much the same feel as on a late 50s Gibson. But playing through the amp cranked up is where it really shines, because the guitar does an fantastic job of making a seamless connection between your playing (your mind) and your amplified sound!!!
