Up for consideration is a Matched Pair of transformer-coupled Schoeps CMT 541 Limited Edition mics -- A limited production run in 2006 of about 25 mics, with the current MK41 specs, using new CMT / MK41 parts. These mics are quite amazing as a main pair for remotes as well as studio use, and also are the industry standard for dialog in film. New, the current model CMC641 mic sets are selling for $3,785 a pair And you can still find these Limited Edition CMT541 sets selling for $3k, so here is a great opportunity to own the CMT541 matched pair in almost new, condition, of recent manufacture, and save about $750!!!

CLASSIC SCHOEPS SOUND
CMT 541 Limited Edition mics are a rare production run of about 25 new mics in around 2006, built using new-old-stock CMT 5 transformer-coupled body, and MK41 hypercard capsule spare/replacement parts. So these are not at all vintage mics in the sense that they are recenlty manufactured using new parts. Also, the MK41 capsule conforms closer to the current MK41 from the CMC series. The CMT design amplifier is the older design, running on P48 phantom power, with a relatively low power consumption. The CMT 5 series is also the only CMC / CMT version that is transformer-coupled!!
