Up for consideration is a factory refurbished Schoeps M222 tube mic body and psu (2 consecutive serial # M222 bodies are available) -- a modern recreation of the classic German SDC tube mic, inspired by the vintage M221b. This mic comes with a 11 month factory warranty, and has just been refurbisd by Schoeps to 'as-new' condition. The mic can be used with all the current Schoeps CMC capsules and active accessories, and is a great all-round mic system that can be used for both studio work as well as location/remotes. New, these m222 mic bodies are selling for $2,499 each, so here is a great opportunity to own one in 'like new', mint condition, with the superior Telefunken AC701k tube, Factory Warranty, and save about $750!!!

M222's have access tot the current Schoeps capsules -- the greatest collection of SDC capsules available anywhere. It also offers the modern, up-to-date technology focused on the remake of classic tube designs from the 50s/60s, but with better specs, and lower distortion. However, the unique Schoeps PSU gives you the opportunity at dial in tube sound, which gives your tracks a warmth and glow that you just can't get with a FET condensor mic. Plus, this mic contains the earlier version with the now discontinued Telefunken AC701k tube, the best tube ever made for microphone applications.
