Up for consideration is a vintage Schoeps ORFT
Tube and origninal case for the M221F,
CMT30F,
and CMMT30F
series of microphones. Originally, this tube was made for
French Broadcast ORTF as part of a fixed mount ORFT setup,
similar to the one here.
This is a unique chance to pick up a rare piece of Schoeps /
OFTF recording history!!!

CONDITION
This tube mount is in fairly good cosmetic condition.
I recently tested it with a CMT30FNU mic and the tube still fits
perfectly, with no deterioration to the plastic end pieces, and
the mic body is still easily positioned within the holding tube.
The tube originally came with some elastic, which is no longer
available, and Schoeps Repair is no longer able to restore this
mount.
HISTORICAL VALUE
This mount represents a piece of recording history. French
Broadcast ORTF invented the ORTF recording technique -- most
likely using Schoeps microphones -- and this was an early design
solution by Schoeps to standardize the ORTF setup for the set
of Schoeps mics and capsules they were using at the time. See

MIC COMPATIBILITY
This tube was made for the M221F, CMMT30F, and CMMT30F
mics. It will work with any SDC of the same diameter. I think
it will hold a CMC and CMT, but I'm not sure. It could also possibly
still be converted into a useable spider mount, or fixed mount.
