Up for consideration is a Zildjian Z Custom 14" Dyno Beat Hi Hat Bottom from the early 1990s weighing in at 1360g. These Hi Hat bottoms are both from older Zildjian K/Z sets whose K tops are now being used in various other mix-and-match configurations. These Z bottoms for are built for volume and projection, and do not disappoint. They will make a great bottom for any 14" Zildjian K or K Con / K Custom top, and also are very successful paired up with a HHX Evolution top. They are great sounding, and a relatively inexpensive way for experimenting and expanding the dynamic range and sounds you can get from your existing 14" hi hat. Currently these are still in production as the A Dyno Beat series, and sell new for $179, so here is a great opportunity to get one for next to nothing!!!

CLASSIC ZILDJIAN K/Z SOUND
Z Dyno Beats have that classic Zildjian K/Z projection and tone that have been going strong for over 25 years. Used in a variety of styles from rock to jazz, adding a Z bottom increases the volume and projection, while keeping intact the tone from your current 14" hi hat top. It is a great way to increase your hi hat volume -- which can be useful in either a permanent, or in specialty situations that call for a louder hi hat. It is a great item to have in your arsenal.
