Up for consideration is the classic giant slayer, the DIMARZIO Tone Zone DP155 humbucking pickup. This high-output pickup measures at 18K Ω / 8.3k Ω, and sounds fine with no issues. Built with a strong low/mid emphasis, this F-Spaced pickup produces a high-output sound, while still retaining clarity, harmonics, and sounds good in split-coil mode. This pickup is perfect for many styles of rock, and is especially good for beefing up thin sounding guitars w/bolt-on necks.
