* SOLD * 2003 Gibson Melody Maker, Modded w/Side Mount Tele Jack * SOLD * Up for consideration is very nice 2003 Gibson Melody Maker with our Tele mod -- making this a fantastic playing and sounding guitar, with several Telecaster features, including an added Rio Grande Dirty Harry Tele neck PUP, the Tele control switch plate, and side-mount Tele jack. The guitar has the original Gibson finish, which was meant to rub off easily and look antique, and has already done this a little at the back of the neck. Also, the guitar has a beefy-sounding Rio Grand / Dirty Harry Tele neck PUP, and the original, slightly-hot, Gibson dog-ear P90, and it plays and sounds fantastic. This guitar came to me after a previous dual P90 mod -- so it was the perfect candidate for the full Tele mod. Tuners are upgraded to Grovers, and a Custom pickguard was made to house the Rio Grande neck PUP, and routing was done to make room for the second neck PUP. Action and frets are good, and the 1 11/16ths nut and D neck profile neck is very comfortable to play. The guitar plays great with no issues, and sounds amazing, with the classic Gibson P90 raw power in the bridge, and some distinctively Tele-type sounds in both the neck and middle position. Does not come with a case.
