Up for consideration is very cool vintage 1966 Gibson Melody Maker with our SG Junior mod -- making this a fantastic playing and sounding 1960s Gibson guitar -- with a much more powerful and universally better sound from the upgraded Rio Grande pickup. The guitar features original bridge and posts, and now has the side-mount tele jack, new electronics, tuners, knobs, nut, and a custom made 2 mm pickguard. Also, the guitar now has a beefy-sounding Rio Grande BluesBar P90, and it plays and sounds fantastic. Vintage Joan Jett-style Melody Maker guitars are now well over $1k, so here is a great opportunity to pick a cool vintage 1966 Melody Maker with a much improved P90 pickup and still play an amazing vintage mid-1960s vibey Gibson solid body electric guitar at a greatly reduced price!!

The guitar originally had a Maestro whammy which has been removed, and there are numerous nicks and dings and finish checking all over the neck and body. This is a players guitar in every sense, yet still a fantastic sounding and playing guitar for a working musician who wants to play a vintage 1960s Gibson electric without paying collector's prices. The guitar plays great with no issues, and simply sounds amazing. Does not come with a case.
