For 1959-61 LP-Style Melody Makers + 1961-1963 Type II

Here is something you don't see every day -- a very nice aftermarket pickguard for the vintage Gibson Melody Maker -- complete w/white MELODY MAKER lettering!! The pickguard has the correct thickness of the vintage original, and has the impossible-to-find printed MELODY MAKER lettering. It has a beveled outer edge, beveled screw holes, and the pickup cutout is for the thin single coil pickup, the 2nd generation , used from 1960 onwards.

This pickguard is in very good condition, and has very few marks on it, and looks like it was never used or installed on any guitar. It s rare to find aftermarket pickguards that come with the white Melody Maker lettering, and this one has the standard layout for the Vol/Tone controls, and the output jack. Screw holes will fit the first 2 generations of Melody Makers, the original 1959-61 Les Paul style, and the second generation 1961-3 with the short double-cutaway horns. Not for the fat pickup 1959 MMs, or Joan Jett-style 1966+ Melody Makers.
