For Modded P90 Soapbar 1959-61 LP-Style Melody Makers + 1961-1963 Type II 

Up for consideration is an unused aftermarket pickguard for the vintage Gibson Melody Maker, with a custom pickup opening for Soapbar P90 or Mini-Humbucker. The pickguard has the correct thickness of the vintage original, and has shielding on the underside. It also has the vintage correct straight, unbeveled outer edge, beveled screw holes, and the pickup cutout is for Soapbar P90s and Mini Humbuckers. You will most likely will have route the guitar pickup cavity a bit to get most P90 pickups to fit. Some mini humbuckers will fit without routing. Please do the research before buying!!

This pickguard is in very good condition, and still has the protective plastic covering on the front face, and it was never used or installed on any guitar. It is rare to find aftermarket pickguards that come with P90 cutouts, and this one has the standard layout for the Vol/Tone controls, and the output jack. Screw holes will fit the first 2 generations of Melody Makers, the original 1959-61 Les Paul style, and the second generation 1961-3 with the short double-cutaway horns. Note that you will probably have to mod your guitar to use this pickguard.
