Up for consideration is a vintage AKG C414 COMB condenser mic. This rare, recently serviced C414 COMB model is highly sought after by recording studios and location sound engineers alike, as they sound fantastic on a wide variety of sources.

These early transformer-coupled C414s are known as being the best of the entire C414 line, and are much more revered than the cheaper surface-mount offerings from AKG.
