Up for consideration is a nice pair of Pearlman TM-LE multi-pattern tube mics (Cardioid / Omni). This is the upgraded version of the TM-1, with Neumann K47 capsules, Mogami 7-pin cables, mic Clips + Power Supplies. These are wonderful mics, with a classic sound in the family of the U67 and U47. New, these mics sell for $1,900 each, so here is a rare opportunity to own pair with consecutive serials in near-mint condition, and save over $1,000!!!

PEARLMAN TM-LE
Dave Pearlman has been designing building mics for a number of years, starting with the TM-1, which was built using a U47-style circuit. The TM-2 uses a smaller U87-style body, and adds a low-pass filter, for even more of an old-school sound. The TM-LE pair sold here features reconditioned Neumann K67 capsules, Mogami cable, plus other upgraded parts. The end result is a mic that has qualities similiar to the U67 from the use of the K67 capsule, and also qualities from the U47 which come from the type of circuit that is used. These mics also feature upgraded NOS Telefunken 6AK5W milatary-spec tubes, in addition to the stock tubes. The mics are excellent on many sources: acoustic instruments, vocals, guitar amps, overheads, and can be used in ways similar to how you would use a U67 or U47.
