Up for consideration is a SHURE FP-32a 3-channel field mixer in excellent cosmetic condition, and was in working condition, but now needs a recap. This is the slightly older version of the current model Shure FP33 ($1,275), with comperable specs. These are wonderful mixers, with a host of phantom powering options and other useful pro features. These used FP32a units have recently sold in the $400- $500 range [ 1 | 2 ] and if you are good with a soldering iron you can recap this one and save several hundred dollars!!!

The Shure FP32a and FP33 have proven themselved in the field for many years in the most demanding situations. They are rugged, good-sounding, reliable, and packed with a long list of pro features. FOR REPAIR -- SOLD AS-IS
This mixer was working fine for me until just recently. It started to have powering issues when using an AKG C34 stereo mic, so I continued to use it with other phantom powered mics, and dynamic mics, and it worked fine. It continued to have sporadic powering issues, so I took it in for service locally (it is no longer supported by Shure), a the report was the caps are starting to leak, and and the leakage material is conductive, and it was shorting out the power supply, and a recap was called for. Since I'm not particularly good at soldering, I'm hoping it will find a good home with somebody who can recap it and get some good use out of it.
